WAGGA PROJECT

New South Wales, Australia  |  Carton Transport System Automation

A large-scale conveyor upgrade inside an operating factory. The control system spans a multi-layer network of seven Rockwell PLCs, from legacy hardware to modern controllers. Emulate3D simulation was used for functional and stress testing, enabling dynamic load balancing for SKU-based handling.

STAWELL PROJECT

Stawell, Australia  |  Transport & Palletising System

Partnering with a leading Australian OEM, Plantwide supported in deliverey of a highly automated sorting, transport and palletising system for chilled and frozen meat cartons. MES order data is integrated with real-time visualisation, wireless communication was established with two ABB IRB660 robots, and Cognex vision systems provide marking validation for traceability and quality control. The system takes in 84 carton conveyors, three ASRS systems, eight barcode scan points, pop-up transfer beds, ARB Bladestop transfers, pallet handling and AGV handoff.

SYNLAIT

Dunsandel, New Zealand  |  Ignition SCADA Migration

Plantwide was awarded the contract to migrate Synlait's SCADA platform from Wonderware InTouch to Ignition, following an extended period providing high-level automation support across Synlait's process operations. The migration covers numerious operator screens, extensive pop-ups, alarm handling, reporting for traceability, robust data logging with recovery mechanisms, and interfaces to multiple PLCs - positioning Ignition as a unified, modern SCADA layer across the site.
